These are usually areas that naturally attract birds, not least migratory birds.<\/p>\n<p>Bird protection areas can be found in many places along our coasts and lakes. These areas are subject to access bans for part of the year or, exceptionally, for the whole year.<\/p>\n<p>Boundaries are indicated on the boating card and Sweden&#8217;s county map (see under MAPS).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seal protection areas<\/strong><br \/>Seal protection areas are established to keep certain areas disturbance-free, usually during spring and early summer.<\/p>\n<p>Seal protection areas have entry bans during part of the year and aim to protect seals&#8217; places of residence.<\/p>\n<p>The areas are clearly signposted with prohibition times.
